BBC Newsreader befriends ‘Handsomest Fox in London’

The BBC Newsreader Zeb Soanes has forged an unlikely friendship with a local urban fox which has since earned the title of ‘the handsomest fox in London’. The Newsreader’s furry friend goes by the name of Gaspar and even has his own Twitter account

Zeb Soanes states on his website;

Gaspard, The Handsomest Fox in London came to visit me one day with an injured leg.  I fed him, he recovered and has continued to call ever since, often when he hears the sound of my bicycle returning from work.  His photos were so popular on Twitter that the Mail on Sunday created a brief moment of infamy – but Gaspard has taken it all in his stride.

Despite Gaspard having amassed an impressive 3600 followers, it wasn’t always plain sailing, with the Radio presenter facing criticism from his neighbours for feeding the fox and allowing Gaspard to sit upon his doorstep. However in recent months the relationship between the pair have gone from strength to strength.

To the delight of Zeb and his followers, Gaspard brought home 4 cubs, of which one is pictured below:

  3. I do like this friendship that has developed between gasper the fox and human . I do love foxes , that are beautiful , intelligent , much mis understood but shy creatures , and have a hard time surving . They are cute too! one day whilst i was out walking my dog, I spotted a beautiful red yearling.and was quite near it was over the road looking at my dog and i standing there watching and then crossed over to have another look! I gave my girl the command to sit at the crossing, abd to my amazement the fox sat as well! which proves how clever they are .

  4. Love the pictures o f Gasper and friend Zeb.

    So lovely – but I’m afraid for the foxes – the roads and the drivers have no compassion and when we have a new group of youngsters in our road I know not many of them are gonna make it to adulthood!!!! We feed them on a Sunday mostly – and they all look well fed and happy – but yet another was in the road at the beginning of the week – it makes me so sad!!!😥💔
